Waxing is one of the most popular methods of removing unwanted hair. The #1 thing that should never be done when waxing is for the waxing stick to be "DOUBLE DIPPED" the reason being is t he hair is removed from the root which leaves the hair follicle open. If some one has some type of infection or disease and the same waxing stick is dipped in the wax it's contaminated at this point. You also have to make sure the wax is not too hot for the client. The wax I use on my clients is a low setting wax, I always make sure the wax isn't too hot before I apply it to the skin and I
ALWAYS use a new waxing stick and
NEVER DOUBLE DIP my waxing stick. Some people are misinformed thinking the temperature of the wax kills bacteria which is completely false. In the State of California only Estheticians or Cosmetologist are licensed to perform waxing services so always be careful who you allow to perform these type of services.
